Malmesbury River Valleys Trust
August 2010

We have created a bird feeding station in some bushes beside the
footpath and have provided food for small birds during the very cold
conditions - picture shows two stumps carved with 'hollows' to hold
seeds and nut feeder - we see Robins, Chaffinch, Dunnock,
blackbirds, Long Tailed Tits, Blue Tits , Coal Tits, Great Tits
feeding.

| This Crayfish was caught by Terry Thomas in the River
Avon near Malmesbury. Beware of it! The American Signal Crayfish (originally imported because they are good to eat)carry a bug which kills our native Crayfish This crayfish caused a sensation when shown to the children at the Schools Week - the law prohibits any crayfish being returned to any river or watercourse. |
